Ang bemedalled nga opisyal nga mipuli kang Commander Benjie Quinisio kinsa mitapos sa iyang tour of duty niadtong hinapos sa Disyembre, mao si Lieutenant Junior Grade Jimmy Memdez Berbo.
Si Berbo, kinsa gikan pa sa iyang makuyaw nga assignment sa Zamboanga, mituo nga mas sayon ang iyang assignment sa Bohol.
Didto sa Zamboanga, nga maoy dunggo-anan sa mga ilegal nga palusot ug kansang kadagatan maoy sarang agi-anan sa mga ilegal nga negosyong kidnapping, naka-agi usab sa seige sa mga rebeldeng Muslim.
Nakuha ni LTJG Berbo ang Coast Guard Outstanding Achievement Medal, PCG Superior Achievement Medal, PCG Meritorious Medal, Coast Guard Search and Rescue Medal, PCG Civic Action Medals, Disaster Relief and rehabilitation Medals, Commendations lakip na ang mga plake, ug letters of commendations.
Gradwado sa Coast Guard Officer's Course niadtong 2009, nakuha ni Berbo ang iyang pagsulod sa kagamhanan human usab niya taposa ang kurso sa bachelos of Science in Computer Science sa Pangasinan State University-College of Arts and Sciences.
Puno sa kasinati-an sa duty ma dagat man o sa opisina, si Lt Berbo nakaalagad sa Coast Guard Office of the Chief of Staff, Office of the Commander, National Capital Region Coast Guard District, Coast guard Operating Forces Office of the Commander, Office of the Vice Commandant (OVC) for Administration ug sa OVC for Operations
Natudlo si Lt Berbo isip Operations Officer ug Acting intelligence Officer for Coast Guard Fleet, kansang trabaho mao ang pagdumala sa tanang barko ug assets sa PCG lakip na ang mga eroplano, K9 ug PCG Special operations Group sa tibuok kapupud-an.
