TAGBILARAN CITY, April 8, (PIA) –One fastcraft shipping company announces an extra trip to Tagbilaran City Bohol from Cebu, making the daily sea trips to Cebu at 15.

In its most recent travel advisory, Ocean Fast Ferries Corporation, operators of MV OceanJet said they would be fielding one more trip to Tagbilaran City.

For the Tagbilaran to Cebu route, OceanJet puts in 8 trips from its usual 7 daily fastcraft service trips.

These trips start at 7:05 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:20 AM and 11:40 AM. The 8:30 AM however is not available on Sundays.

In the afternoon, Tagbilaran to Cebu trips are at: 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:20 PM and 5:50 PM. The 3:30 PM however is only available on Sundays.

On the other hand, from Cebu, Oceanjet schedule has 5 morning trips: 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 9:20, 11:40. The 7:00 AM trip however would not be available on Sundays.
In the afternoon, 3 trips resume the Cebu to Tagbilaran route starting at 2:00, 4:20 and 6:35.

Meanwhile, 2Go Travels, which operate MVSupercat still has the 6:30 AM, 11:15 AM, 1:45 PM and 5:25 PM for its Tagbilaran Cebu route.

For its Cebu-Tagbilaran, Supercat has 7:00 AM, 8:45 AM, 1:45 PM and 7:40 PM trips.

Another fast craft company, Weesam Express operates three trips from Tagbilaran to Cebu: 8:00 AM, 1:20 PM and 5:35 PM daily.

On its Cebu-Tagbilaran route, Weesam has 5:50 AM, 11:00 Am and 3:30 PM daily.

On this, tourism stakeholders in Bohol welcome the development as the anticipation of the onslaught of summer tourists and fiesta celebrations in Bohol would bring in the unusually heavy sea traffic.

This is also considering the limited plane seats for Tagbilaran, whose airport is still restricted to a one-plane on a tarmac policy.

The presence of efficient and more fast craft trips to Tagbilaran has significantly responded to the need for a connection from Bohol to Cebu and nearby areas, to allow easy access to tourists and cargo, which are the lifeblood of Bohol economy, a shipper said. (rac/PIABohol)
