Tagbilaran City, Bohol, June 17 (PIA)— Here’s good news to job seekers in Bohol. 

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Region VII opens some 103 new positions for interested job applicants joining the national social service delivery department in its community driven development (CDD) programs. 

And the best thing, according to Aileen Lariba, DSWD Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) information officer is that those who get accepted are set be hired before October 2013. 

The NCDDP is a scaled up Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social services implemented by the DSWD and uses the community-driven development approach to poverty reduction which has been proven to be effective in empowering communities to actively participate in governance by prioritizing their community needs, planning together, implementing and monitoring projects to dent on poverty issues together, the DSWD website states. 

Speaking at the Kapihan sa PIA, aired live over DyTR last Thursday, June 13, Lariba said the department is now immediately hiring manpower to help implement the National Community Driven Development Program (NCDDP). 

While the items are also offered for Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor, 28 of these are set for deployment work in Bohol, as the program covers 70 local government units across the Central Visayas. 

Up for grabs are 18 positions for the DSWD’s Field Office Regional Project Management Office which comprise the Deputy Regional Project Manager, Regional Community Development Specialist, Community Development Specialist, Community Process Officer for special projects, Regional Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst 3 for finance planning and Budgeting, Regional Community Infrastructure Specialist, Regional infrastructure Officer for Community Procurement. 
Research and Monitoring Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation Grievance Officer, Data Base Management Officer, Regional Capability Building Specialist, regional Training Assistant, Regional Social Marketing Officer, Administrative Assistant and Driver. 

Also needed for mainstream staffing is a Financial Analyst as Project Accountant, Procurement Assistant, Human Resource Assistant, Financial Analyst 1, regional Bookkeeper, Budget Assistant and Cash Clerk. 

For Sub-Regional Project management Office, DSWD also accepts applications for Sub Regional Head, Community process officer, Financial Analyst for Community Finance, Regional Infrastructure Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and an Administrative Assistant. 

Also opened are positions for the Area Coordination Team where each of the 28 towns in Bohol would have one coordinator, according to Lariba. 

Details of the qualifications needed for the slot vacancies can be found at the DSWD 7 Regional Field Office at corner Mj Cuenco and General Maxilom Avenue in Cebu or the DSWD Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Office at the LTO Compound, here in Tagbilaran City. 

Applications are accepted until the end of July 2013, according to Lariba.
